Álvaro Martínez, PhD

Álvaro Martínez earned his degree in Biochemistry from Universidad Católica de Chile and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Université Pierre et Marie Curie. Since 2008, he has specialized on biotechnology patents and worked as examiner for the Chilean patent office (INAPI, 2009 to present) and as national coordinator of applied research and innovation at Universidad Santo Tomás (2013-2016). He joined Fundación Ciencia & Vida in 2014, where he administrates the national and international Patent Portfolios and gives support on technological transfer.
