We believe scientific language is universal and that national barriers and different cultures only enrich scientific development with diverse perspectives and realities.

As a way to contribute to our local development in science, biotechnology, and scientific training we started the FCV-California Program as a way to participate and learn from the scientific and biotechnology knowledge generated in California, one of the best places for scientific innovations. Through this program we have been establishing novel and intensive collaborations between Fundación Ciencia para la Vida in Chile and private and public organizations in California, including a comprehensive exchange program between the University of California in San Francisco (UCSF) –known as the health campus of the University of California system- and the San Francisco-based biotechnology company, Medivation Inc.
