Business Unit

Innovation, Development, and Technology Transfer

The Business Unit drives the attraction of biotech startups to the Science and Business Park, aiming to enrich the interaction between science, industry, and innovation, and to strengthen the collaborative network of the ecosystem.

The Business Unit of the Ciencia & Vida Center is tasked with identifying, valuing, and advancing scientific and technological initiatives with commercial potential developed within the Foundation. It promotes their effective transfer to the innovation ecosystem and supports their evolution into sustainable ventures.
At the same time, it fosters strategic collaborations with key stakeholders from the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and related technology sectors, strengthening the Foundation’s position as a national leader in research, technology transfer, and biobusiness.

How we do it ?

The unit works closely with researchers, entrepreneurs, and strategic partners to support the development of technologies from early stages to commercialization. It facilitates their valorization through advisory services, connections with investment funds, and participation in applications for public and private funding. By fostering strategic alliances, providing training in biobusiness, and actively promoting its ventures, the unit aims to strengthen project sustainability, expand their impact, and help build a robust ecosystem for science and entrepreneurship in Chile.
