Eureka Program

The Eureka Program of Ciencia & Vida, founded in 2005, was created with the mission of disseminating scientific knowledge and strengthening science education through innovative communication strategies and direct engagement with the educational community and the general public. From its beginnings, Eureka has adopted a strong multimedia approach, developing a wide range of educational and outreach products designed to make science accessible, engaging, and relevant for diverse audiences.

TV Series

The Eureka Program has produced high-impact television series for the public at large, which have contributed to the dissemination of science in Chile and abroad. These inspiring stories have become educational material and cultural heritage for Chileans. Our productions have been broadcasted in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Europe, and the U.S. through numerous channels and platforms.

Through first-person accounts, they share their lives and scientific achievements.

Ciencia Pop

Exploradores del átomo al cosmos

A television series that brings to life the stories of scientists in Chile conducting world-class research at centers of excellence. What do they do? How do these centers operate? And how are they changing the way we see the world?
This production has been developed in collaboration with Chile's national television channel, TVN, for over 10 seasons, as well as with other leading research centers.

La Travesía de Darwin

Documentary series that explores Charles Darwin’s journey through Chilean waters and territory between 1832 and 1835. Across three episodes, internationally renowned thinkers and prominent Chilean scientists examine Darwin’s ideas, their scientific impact, and their relevance today, offering an engaging and insightful perspective on the origins and legacy of the theory of natural selection.

Mentes Brillantes

A 30-episode documentary series that tells the story of Chilean science over the past 50 years, through the perspective of its key figures: the National Science Prize winners. Through their testimonies, the series explores their lives, motivations for becoming scientists, and the journey that led them to receive the National Science Prize.

Documentaries

Through audiovisual storytelling, science is communicated in a clear, engaging, and contextualized way, making complex concepts easier to understand and highlighting their relevance to everyday life. Documentaries also humanize science by giving visibility to researchers, communities, and territories, revealing the processes, challenges, and questions behind scientific knowledge—not just its final results.
