Eureka Program
Established in 2005, the Eureka Program is Centro Ciencia & Vida’s flagship initiative for making scientific knowledge accessible, engaging, and relevant to society. Through innovative science communication and educational outreach, Eureka transforms complex research into compelling audiovisual productions, television series, documentaries, digital resources, and interactive learning experiences. By connecting scientists with students, educators, families, and broader audiences, the program fosters scientific curiosity, strengthens science literacy, and inspires future generations. Its initiatives extend the reach of scientific discoveries beyond the laboratory, promoting a deeper understanding of science and its contribution to everyday life.
TV Series
Through the Eureka Program, we create high-impact television series that bring scientific discoveries and inspiring stories to the public. Combining compelling storytelling with scientific rigor, these productions make complex concepts accessible and engaging, encourage critical thinking, and highlight the relevance of science to everyday life. Distributed through television networks and digital platforms in Chile and internationally, our series serve as valuable educational resources for students, educators, and families, fostering scientific curiosity and contributing to Chile’s scientific and cultural heritage.

Community Engagement & Outreach Initiatives
Strengthening Connections Between Science and Society
Our Communications Unit leads the planning, coordination, and promotion of outreach and public engagement initiatives that connect scientific research with communities, educational institutions, and diverse sectors of society. Working closely with investigators, undergraduate and graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows, the Unit organizes open laboratory visits, hands-on scientific experiences, educational workshops, and participation in science festivals and public events.
Beyond organizing these activities, the Unit develops communication strategies, produces accessible scientific content, manages media relations and digital platforms, and builds strategic relationships with educational organizations, research institutions, and public stakeholders. By facilitating meaningful interactions between our scientific community and the public, we promote knowledge exchange, strengthen scientific literacy, and encourage broader participation in science. Through these efforts, we aim to inspire future generations and highlight the value of scientific research in addressing societal challenges.
