Bioentrepreneurship

From the laboratory to new companies

We connect research with science-based companies. Since 2006, our Science and Business Campus has hosted Chilean and international startups and has supported more than 15 biotechnology companies with mentoring, intellectual property, infrastructure and networks.

From lab to market

Business & Bioentrepreneurship Unit

We support science-based entrepreneurs and startups through the most demanding stages: validating the market, building a sustainable business model and connecting with industry and investors. Programs such as Bioentrepreneurship Talks, NextGen Innovators and the Science & Business Acceleration Program help train and connect a new generation of bioentrepreneurs.

Intellectual Property & Technology Transfer Unit

We identify research results with application potential and support them along the way: patent protection, technology readiness assessment, licensing strategies and regulatory pathways. Today we pay particular attention to technologies emerging from our own laboratories.

Science and Business Campus

Our Science and Business Campus brings together laboratories, technology platforms, training spaces and biotechnology companies. This proximity allows investigators, students and entrepreneurs to share infrastructure and ideas, and helps a discovery find its way to an application.

Supporting Science-Based Ventures
