Centro Ciencia & Vida is pleased to invite you to a new seminar exploring experiences of technology transfer and bioentrepreneurship in the biosciences.
On this occasion we will be joined by Dr. Catalina Landeta Salgado, CTO and co-founder of MycoSeaweed® Tech SpA and academic at the Department of Food Science and Chemical Technology of Universidad de Chile, who will give the talk: “Alternative proteins from algae and fungi: redefining the food systems of the future. MycoSeaweed® as a case of biotechnological innovation”.
With more than 15 years of experience in research, innovation and science-and-technology bioentrepreneurship, her work has focused on bioprocesses, applied microbiology, the valorisation of algae and the development of alternative proteins and functional ingredients through fermentation.
MycoSeaweed® Tech SpA is a Chilean biotechnology start-up that develops solutions based on fermentation bioprocesses to turn algae into alternative protein ingredients of high nutritional and functional value, with applications for the food industry.
