The  Universidad San Sebastián  (USS), through the participation of Dr. Raquel Quatrini, was present at the 1st International Biotechnology Congress of Córdoba, an event organized by the  Clúster de Biotecnología de Córdoba , the  Universidad Católica de Córdoba,   Ennoia Lat  and the  Government of the Province of Córdoba .

The activity brought together more than a thousand people, including students, entrepreneurs, and Argentine and international experts around the development of biotechnology applied to health, agro-industry, sustainability, and scientific innovation.

Over two days, attendees participated in conferences, expert panels, dialogue tables, and networking rounds that sought to strengthen cooperation between academia, the public sector, and industry, creating a meeting space for new opportunities for development and collaborative innovation in Latin America in the field of bio-entrepreneurship.

Science, collaboration, and internationalization

Dr. Quatrini's participation in the panel “Precision medicine and therapies of the future: Advances in genomics, cell therapy, and precision medicine” made it possible to highlight the research lines promoted by the  USS Faculty of Science  and the entrepreneurship ecosystem of the  Centro Basal Ciencia & Vida , as well as to reinforce the institutional presence in international cooperation spaces linked to biotechnology, bio-entrepreneurship, and scientific research.

The congress highlighted the relevance of the synergy between academic institutions and the productive sector as the basis for sustainable development.

“This initiative was extremely inspiring. An excellent effort by a provincial government to articulate the relevant actors to link academia with industry and capital funds, and thus support regional development,” commented the academic. “I am very grateful to have been part of this first event, to the USS for creating these encounters, to  ProCórdoba , to Pablo De Chiara and his team, for the invitation. Definitely, an instance that will strengthen the collaboration agenda between Argentina and Chile.”
