About this event

The PhD Program in Computational Biology at Universidad San Sebastián invites you to a new scientific conference, which will feature the participation of Gustavo Enrique Olivos Ramírez, a student and member of Prof. Adolfo Poma's research group at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland.

During the seminar, entitled "Enabling Conformational Changes in the SARS-CoV-2 Virion via GōMARTINI 3 Simulation", the speaker will discuss the use of computational simulations to study the conformational changes that the molecular structures of SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19, can undergo.

The presentation will focus on the application of GōMARTINI 3, a molecular simulation approach that allows for representing the dynamic behavior of complex biological systems and exploring the movements and structural changes of their components.

Tools of this type contribute to the study of the molecular dynamics of viruses and allow for exploring how the structural properties of their components relate to their biological behavior, highlighting the contribution of computational biology to virology research.

Speaker
Gustavo Enrique Olivos Ramírez, student in the research group of Prof. Adolfo Poma, Institute of Fundamental Technological Research, Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw, Poland).

His participation is part of the work carried out by Prof. Poma's research group, focused on the development and application of computational tools for the study of molecular systems.
